Stefano and Lina, Giancarlo Bonamini's parents, get married and settle in their current home. Stefano, a professional harvester, begins managing the family vineyards and mill for the first time, inheriting a completely new venture for him.
1990
20 Giugno
At just twenty years old, Giancarlo opens his own VAT number as a farmer, assisting his father with agricultural work while continuing his studies. Thanks to his father's experience, he develops solid skills and begins to shape his vision for the future.
1995
Le prime 400 bottiglie
With no contacts with suppliers or customers, Giancarlo decides to bottle his own oil under the Frantoio Bonamini brand. The first 400 bottles are mostly distributed as samples. The project grows quickly thanks to his dedication and passion.

2000
Innovazione e crescita
With Giancarlo's personal and professional growth, the desire to innovate and move beyond the traditional "this is how it's always been done" emerges. Giancarlo finally receives a free hand from his parents to carry out an important transformation of the farm. A new structure is built, and the company shifts from a traditional system to a continuous one, marking a decisive evolution for the business.
2001

Giancarlo and Sabrina get married, creating a professional partnership that has been crucial for the company's future. This significant year also marks the first olive harvest conducted with the modern mill.
2020 - 2024
Industria 4.0
The mill evolves quickly with an Industry 4.0 perspective, adopting advanced technologies to optimize the processing. The focus is consistently on achieving the highest purity of the final product and the quality of the olives, with recent innovations such as the drying of the olives.

An olive oil love story
Frantoio Bonamini is an excellence emblem in the Italian extra virgin olive oil production, able to combine the quality of the product with the deep passion for the territory and the local traditions. Giancarlo and Sabrina Sartorari Bonamini, brave millers, lead this 60 years old olive mill with heart, enhancing the more than 5.200 olive trees cultivated on 21 hectares, reaching a production of 270.000 bottles per year, admired in Italy as well as abroad.

Our production
The production includes P.D.O Veneto Valpolicella extra virgin olive oil, produced with Grignano and Favarol refined olive types, Organic olive oil and specialty oils such as Monocultivar Grignano and Campo di Casa. In addition to extra virgin olive oil, Frantoio Bonamini offers natural infused olive oils, spreads, vegetable in oil and a sustainable cosmetic line. All the products are designed and crafted in the Illasi Valley (Verona), one of the most renowned oil districts in Italy.

A legacy handed down from the family
Frantoio Bonamini is the result of a story of bravery and dedication which find its roots in the year 1965 when Stefano and Lina moved permanently in their current home in Santa Giustina, Illasi. Stefano Bonamini, who until that moment was a thresher, starts to grow his wife’s vineyards and in the meantime also takes over his uncle’s olive mill, facing with courage a completely new business activity. Sixty years ago, the first founders started this farm from almost nothing, moved from passion and from a very clear mission: producing high quality extra virgin olive oil. Always respecting and deeply loving the territory. Since then, every single drop of Bonamini olive oil tells a story of a tradition which has never lost sight of excellence.

December 31st, 1905
